Satisfactory Update 1.2.4.1 Restores Audio Routing for Mods

The patch notes say MetaSound works by default again and list fixes for blank signs, a console freeze, and several crashes.

Satisfactory: Factory Interior With Conveyor Belts

Audio Mods and Configuration

Satisfactory update 1.2.4.1 re-enables Audio Routing, according to the official patch notes. MetaSound should now work by default, and the patch team says the change should fix audio mod problems that appeared after the previous patch. The team hopes workarounds modders made in the meantime will not be affected, but does not establish whether they still behave the same way.

The patch notes also say Engine.ini has been restored to its original state to prevent potential issues with versions created in the previous patch.

Signs, Consoles, and Crash Fixes

The patch notes list a fix for signs near a Pioneer turning blank when a save loads. They also report a fix for an audio/Wwise-related freeze on consoles.

On dedicated servers, placing a Conveyor Throughput Monitor on a belt is listed as a fixed crash. Two more fixes address a crash when aiming at a belt with multiple monitors after one was recently dismantled, and an audio-related crash when exiting the game.
