Ubisoft released Anno 117 patch 2.1 on September 17. Three heroic specialists whose effects previously enabled overly strong combinations are central to its balance changes.
| Specialist | Effect After Patch 2.1 |
|---|---|
| Laevinus | Only Stone Quarries, Gold Panning Sites and Clay Pits, rather than all Pits |
| Kirjokansi | Passive trade with rivals, rather than player-to-player trade |
| Tiranna | Pigments, rather than dyes |
An existing production calculation therefore depends on more than the specialist’s name. A Sand Refinery calculation using Laevinus or a player-trading combination using Kirjokansi may lose its basis after the patch. Check the revised scope before continuing an old template.
Cosmetics and Bug Fixes Are Separate Parts
Echoes of Kassandra includes statues, building skins and a large music hall featuring music from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Ubisoft describes it as a cosmetic pack. Patch support does not mean every base-game copy automatically receives the paid content.
The fixes include research and quest progression blockers, revised descriptions and a PS5 crash when loading existing saves. Multiplayer also receives a fix for a potentially endless loading phase after reinviting a participant.
These individual multiplayer fixes do not establish that every desync cause has disappeared. Different mods can still cause simulations to diverge. For shared modified sessions, Anno 117: Match Co-op Mods and Investigate Desyncs remains useful independently of the Kassandra expansion.
